gratitudenature works has been busy-- growing and evolving and creating! In the past 7 months since I've joined this inspiring cooperative, so much has happened. Gardens created, grown, and transformed; nourishing meals served with love & delectable flavor; an amazingly successful regenerative workshop series in We are doing work that invigorates us as it also brings us towards our vision for a more beautiful, connected and equitable human culture-- all the while designing ways to make this work sustainable for ourselves. I find myself often asking: How may we offer our lives in service of current & future generations of humanity, and to honoring & protecting the Earth that provides us with all that we need AND enjoy lives full of freedom, comfort, and abundance? Sometimes it feels challenging to reconcile the two in a world that feels so full of contradictions and inequity-- and it is trust that keeps me going. Through the work that I do in this cooperative, I am learning the power of receiving, and how important it is to find balance between giving and receiving. I’ve noticed that there are some people in our culture that only know how to give, and some that only know how to receive (or take). Imagine what this world would be like if we were all taught to give something back for all that we are given...! I’m excited to be growing into a regenerative culture that values gratitude so strongly-- even when I feel like I have nothing to give in return (how could little old me give something back to Mother Earth in repayment for all the ways in which she nourishes and sustains me?), I still have my gratitude to offer. with gratitude, Lily p.s, here is a photo from our Brooklyn workshop series!
